Position: Psychiatric/Dispensing RN
Location: Renton, WA/Seattle, WA
Facility Type: Clinic/Mobile Medication Units (MMU’s)
Shift: Days (must be available Mon – Sat, no Sundays)
Hours: 5am – 1:30pm (may be asked to work through 3pm a few times/wk)
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Hours: Full-time, Part-time also available
Requirements: WA or Compact license, behavioral health, psych, Med Surg, LTC, or Community Heath experience, must be flexible, must be available Mon — Sat from 5am-3pm
Notes: Must be comfortable working with patients struggling with addiction problems and possible homelessness, must be comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment, looking for people interested in temp-to-perm as well
Job Duties:
Orientation is 4 weeks, based out of Renton clinic There are two clinic locations and 4 Mobile Medication Units (MMUs) – nurses will primarily be schedule on MMUs once out of training Nurses will be responsible for ensuring medication counts are accurate at start and end of shifts, assessing patient condition and safety, educating patients about treatment and medications, collaborating with medical providers to create care plans, provide crisis intervention when needed, and dosing patients. Some mobile units: RNs will start in Renton, board mobile unit, and travel to designated treatment area. Others: RNs will meet them where they are stationed. We cannot guarantee that RNs will consistently start in Renton, some shifts could start in Seattle. Must be comfortable commuting to either location **In emergencies – staff may be floated to South Sound Clinic in Olympia or Shelton. This is RAREThe Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
