RN - Quality Coordinator Trauma *F/T Days*

RN - Quality Coordinator Trauma at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA.  Position available are full-time and will work 8-hour Day shifts. 

The RN Clinical Coordinator applies knowledge to lead improvement processes activities for the trauma population through the review of patient's charts, quality indicators, analysis and reporting in the Trauma Committee.  This role also develops and implements injury prevention activities as indicated by the Providence Holy Cross trauma population and our local epidemiological data.  Assists the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Program Medical Director to monitor and coordinate all aspects of the Trauma Service Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program and the Trauma Injury Prevention program. Responsible for clinical data abstraction from the medical records of trauma patients for the purposes of quality improvement. Assists in the coordination and delivery of trauma education for clinicians involved in the care of the trauma patient, including EMS, Emergency, and Acute Care. Assists in the coordination of trauma care for patients throughout their hospitalization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Nursing from an accredited program. Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Within 6 months (180 days) of hire Trauma Nursing Core Course. Three years: Trauma, emergency or critical care experience within a health care organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scoring course. Coursework/Training: American Trauma Society Basic Trauma Registrar course. Recent experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma nursing. Experience with collector software and the State Trauma Registry. Experience with chart audits.
