This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful Indian River. With a dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU), Martin North Hospital is considered the cardiac hub of Cleveland Clinic Martin Health.
As an RN on this team, you will feel supported and appreciated for your expertise and have access to our advanced technology to make meaningful differences in the lives of patients and their families. In this position, you will be our Rapid Response/Code Expert. You will use your knowledge of codes and critical matters to support the hospital and act as an educator to other caregivers. While navigating the unit with a Critical Care mentality is essential, you will also have down time to interact and truly connect with fellow caregivers and the patients you encounter daily.
A caregiver in this position works from 7:00AM – 7:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Two years of ED or ICU experience running codes and code medication Teaching and educating experiencePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light Work
