This clinic is the outpatient arm of the UW Medicine Burn Center, which also includes the intensive care and acute care inpatient units within Harborview Medical Center. Key to effective burn care, is the clinic nurse's ability to coordinate care provided by a multi-disciplinary team involving attendings, fellows, residents, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, occupational and physical therapy, Rehab Psychologists, Vocational Rehab Counselors, to name a few. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:** + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Clinical Triage + Treatment only visits (Treatment Nurse Visits and Fast Tracks in ED) + Pre-surgery and post-op patient education and care coordination + Wound care for Burn and Plastic Surgery procedures + EPIC triage -- responding to patients, reviewing test results and triaging treatment needs (EPIC in-basket management) + Multidisciplinary collaboration with Rehab Psych, Voc Rehab, Therapies, Research, Providers, Front Desk Admin staff, MA’s, etc. + Precepting Nursing Students, Charge Nurse responsibilities + Proving Support for Anesthesia Assisted Procedures **REQUIREMENTS:** + Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date + At least 1 year of RN experience in Burn and/or Pediatric Specialty Care + ABLS and/or PALS certification preferred + CPR certification required, ACLS preferred **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
