The role you’ll contribute:

The Employee Health Nurse performs a variety of occupational health services which may include new hire physical assessments, immunizations/TST, blood draws, blood/body fluid exposure surveillance, medical illness/injury triage, basic first aid, mask fit testing, drug screens.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Employee health nurse may conduct pre-employment physical examination to ensure that prospective employees meet the physical requirements of a job

· Administers immunizations against infectious diseases and follow up on any adverse reactions

· Employee health nurse may develop or lead training sessions on topics such as infectious diseases, chemical exposure and the use of personal protective equipment

· Documents the training efforts and evaluates the effectiveness of such programs by administering post-training assessments

· Determines employee counseling or referral needs and ensures timely delivery of contracted services

· Delivers short-term counseling and follow-up care to employee

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· Graduate of accredited school of nursing

· Current state license to practice professional nursing

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
