Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital – STAT unit – New Port Richey, FloridaStatus: Full TimeShift: 9:45 AM - 10:15 PMEvery other weekend requirementOn Call: NoAlways in person

Requirements:

RN (Registered Nurse) LicenseDiploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing1-year experience as an RN in an Acute Care settingPreferred : 1-year experience in the ICU, Emergency Room or STAT RN in an Acute Care settingBLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – STAT responsibilities and skills:

Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for critical patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standardsSupporting all units with rounding on patients, STEMI, Stroke and Code BluesDelegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care teamCare for patient needs throughout their recovery and following up with patients when downgraded from ICUMonitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessmentsIdentifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical conditionHigh emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient Professional accountability and development
