RN- Resource Nurse- Surgical Short Stay- Part Time 2nd shift

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Part Time Resource Nurse/ADT Registered Nurse for our Short Stay/ Surgical Observation Unit!

The schedule is Monday through Thursday 1600-2200.

Sign On Bonus of $7500 available for qualified candidates.

Resource Nurse, also known as the Admit/Discharge/Transition Registered Nurse (ADT RN) plays a critical role in ensuring efficient patient flow and continuity of care within Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. This position involves coordinating admissions, discharges, and transitions of care for patients, as well as providing support and assistance to nursing staff in an inpatient setting. The Resource Nurse/ADT RN will monitor and manage transitions of care for patients moving between different care settings, such as from hospital to home or skilled nursing facility.

This role will be supporting Wendell 2- Observation Surgical short stay:

Wendell 2- Surgical Short Stay, is a 24-bed unit with a 1 to 5 ratio or 1:6 ratio. This unit is dedicated to short stay patients from Women’s Health, Ortho/Spine, General Surgery, and Bariatrics.

Requirements:

RN License- Required2 years of acute experience- PreferredCritical Care experience- PreferredDegree or Diploma from an accredited registered nursing program- required.BLS within 90 days of hireACLS Preferred, Required if in a critical care area.Strong knowledge of regulations and standards related to admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
