+ Location: School assignments determined during orientation. Must be comfortable working anywhere in DC.
+ Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as an RN. Active DC RN license. Previous school nursing experience preferred or experience with pediatric population.
+ Additional Details: Nurses will be assigned to a single school or a cluster of schools within a small radius. Schedule is typically shared 2 weeks in advance.
+ Contract/Hours: Minimum of 13 weeks, Amergisum through the end of the school year. If an internal nurse is onboarded for a school where an agency nurse is, facility can provide a 2 week notice for the nurse (possible school reassignment possible). Able to convert internally if preferred – temp to perm possible. M-F, 8a-4:30p.

The School Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a schoolsetting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contractedservices. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program
+ Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
+ One year of professionalexperience, preferred
+ Current CPR
+ PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
