EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of two years experience in Home Infusion as a nursing coordinator, infusion nurse or intake coordinator
Experience with processing referrals for homecare and pre-certification
Licensure:
Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of hospital and medical staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary to effectively deal with various levels of healthcare personnel, external customers and community groups.
Understands Medicare, Medicaid and other third party insurances.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Maintains accurate records.
Demonstrates the initiative to achieve goals and seek opportunities.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Presents and operates in a professional manner which commands respect, reflects a high level of competency, and encourages collegiality.
