Clay County Care Center is hiring now for a RN Staff Development and Education Nurse.\n
Position Summary:\n
The RN Staff Development and Education Nurse, will plan, organize, develop, and direct all in service education in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. \n
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:\n\nCurrently licensed\/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment\nSix (6) months skilled nursing experience preferred\nTeaching\/education experience preferred\nCPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment\n\n
Specific Job Requirements:\n\nResponsible for overseeing instruction of Certified Nursing Assistant training program \nDesire and ability to effectively train and educate all nursing associates and other associates as applicable\nExpert knowledge in field of practice\nPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation\nKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility\nImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department\nAbility to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action\nMaintains professional working relationships with all staff, residents, resident family and vendors\nMaintains confidentiality of all proprietary and\/or confidential information\nUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures\nDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Ethics and completes mandatory clinical regulatory and other appropriate compliance training\n\n
Essential Functions:\n\nPlan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation\nMaintain associate training and in service records\nAssist in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing\nDemonstrate dependable, regular attendance\nExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients and staff\nConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment\nCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team\nSit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours\nRead, write, speak, and understand the English language\n\n
