Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center has a 16-bed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit located 12 miles SW of Portland. Our ICU provides care to patients who are seriously ill or at high risk of developing life-threatening problems as a result of complex medical processes, renal or respiratory failure or patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks or undergone invasive surgery.

 

Your Role as a Registered Nurse (RN): You will provide top-notch patient care in a collaborative environment, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion. Work with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans and make a lasting impact on patients' health.

Responsibilities Provide direct, compassionate patient care while adhering to Legacy Health’s high standards for patient assessment, care delivery, and transfer.Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care for every patient.Advocate for patients by offering education and emotional support, helping them navigate their health journeys.Leverage cutting-edge electronic health systems to accurately document patient information and provide seamless care.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If you’re working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!For certain roles, a BSN is required. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience:

At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).One year of ICU experience required.

Skills & Qualities:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities — because in this role, every day is different, and your expertise will make all the difference. Licensure Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).
