The Main OR at Northwest Medical Center features 16 surgical suites in a dedicated surgical wing and perform highly specialized cutting edge procedures AND minimally invasive procedures. Requirements:
Requires an associate's degree, certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR), and at least 2 years of operating room experience. For RNFA: current Arizona RN license or compact state license Graduate of Surgical Assistant program NIFA with a Certification as an RNFA required. For all First Assists: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS ACLS Preferred.About the Job:
The RNFA Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room at Northwest Medical Center, Evaluates perioperative patients and plans, implements and documents surgical nursing care. Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon. Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role. Adequately prepares for procedures/surgeries and anticipates physician's needs during procedures/surgeries.We know it’s not just about finding a job.
