RN- Trauma Program Coordinator
The trauma program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the patient care delivered to Baptist Health Corbin trauma patients meets the standards set forth by various regulatory bodies.The trauma program coordinator collaborates with the outcomes department, Emergency department, and collaborates with the trauma services medical director. The trauma coordinator collects data related to trauma care, to ensure the data and logs required for regulatory compliance are collected and maintained.The trauma coordinator leads the multidisciplinary team in establishing and updating clinical care processes in accordance with current evidence and clinical practice guidelines.The trauma program coordinator is the primary lead in systematic program performance improvement activities and in documentation of the PI processThe trauma coordinator prepares and leads the trauma program meetings effectively and maintains documentation of meeting minutes, as well as ensures the implementation of trauma care processes established by the care teamsThe trauma program coordinator works collaboratively with physicians, hospital department leaders, and clinical staff to improve care for trauma patientsThe trauma program coordinator is a liaison between local emergency management services and community leaders in coordinated trauma care.Monitor ongoing performance through real-time chart audits to identify opportunities for improvement. Meet with patients and their families as needed to facilitate patient-centered care and provide education.I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience RequiredActive Kentucky, or Reciprocal state RN State License.BSN – MSN preferred.Quality Improvement Experience preferred.TNCC certified or (obtained within 1 year of position)At least 3 years of clinical experience working in emergency/trauma care.BCLS/ACLS required.Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.Certification in relevant specialty area or in nursing professional development.ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by department of assignmentBenefits Include:
