**Join our team! Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Wound Care department is now hiring a Full-Time Wound Care RN to work at LMC's 326 bed acute care hospital. The department is busy unit with 8 treatments rooms and 4 single chamber hyperbaric units in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. They have an average of 40 patients a day in this unit. Everyone in the unit report directly to the Director of Wound Care. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process. Assists with the implementation of plan of care. Provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with select disorders of the GI, GU and integumentary systems. Provides direct patient care to persons with abdominal stomas, wounds, drains, fistulas, wounds and incontinence. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ **Required:** Graduate of an accredited RN program.
+ **Required:** Licensed as an R.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
+ **Required:** Must have at least three (3) years clinical experience as a Staff Nurse in a comparable area.
+ **Required:** BLS. Must be completed prior to patient contact.
+ Letter of Recommendation are preferred for applicants with less than 1 year of applicable experience in nursing.=
+ Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
