If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you! *JOB OVERVIEW* The Maintenance Services Department at Montana State Prison is a support service department that provides all maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment and provides for the construction of projects as directed. * The Road Crew Maintenance Supervisor communicates with the Maintenance Management Team as to maintenance and construction work assigned to the road crew. * Ensure that the corrective actions are in the best interests of the institution, that priorities assigned to work orders are understood and security and safety is maintained at Montana State Prison. * Works with the maintenance managers in the development of plans and schedules for maintenance and improvements of areas outside the main fenced compound including parking lots at MSCTC, MCE and Ranch areas. * Must be able to function in the stressful environment of an adult correctional facility. There may be exposure to high noise levels, considerable standing and walking on concrete floors, and exposure to frequent temperature extremes. * Work will involve considerable and repetitive heavy lifting (40 to 60 lbs.). * During emergency situations, the physical demands and time required of this position increases considerably. * Supervisors must be able to work long extended periods of time and are subjected to callouts as needed. /The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.00 per hour or 2.5%, whichever is greater, effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026, in accordance with HB13.
