Pay rate: 20/hours Hours: Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm The role involves managing and coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring the smooth operation of shipments, and handling customer communications. Here's a breakdown of the position: **Role Overview** **:** + **Customer Interaction** : You’ll be the primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries via phone or email regarding shipments, products, and complaints. + **Order Management** : You’ll input customer orders into the Transportation Management System (TMS) from phone/email orders and directly from EDI or E-Booking systems. + **Resource Allocation** : Secure trucking resources with carrier partners and confirm bookings with shippers or consignees. + **Logistics Coordination** : You’ll schedule and confirm pick-up or delivery appointments, track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, and communicate any deviations in transportation plans. + **File Maintenance** : You’ll handle any necessary corrections to service requests, maintain records of transport statuses, and initiate any required file maintenance. + **Sales Support** : This role may also involve soliciting sales of additional services to customers. + **Issue Resolution** : You’ll manage customer complaints and handle challenging situations professionally. **Skills & Experience Required** **:** + **Problem-solving** : Ability to make decisions quickly, handle tough situations, and stay organized with multiple tasks. + **Communication** : Excellent customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone/email. + **Attention to Detail** : Ensuring all statuses and transport KPIs are captured accurately. + **Education** : High school diploma or higher. **Key Skills** **:** + **Customer Service** : Handling inquiries and issues in a professional, courteous manner. + **Logistics & Scheduling** : Managing the logistics of shipments and deliveries efficiently. + **Sales** : Identifying opportunities for upselling services.
