Responsibilities:    Demonstrates and promotes a "safety first" behavior at all times. Performs observational spot checks on operator’s safety, driving, and customer service skills. 
Monitors operator and passenger behavior while in service. 
Ensures operators are fit-for-duty at all times.
Performs on-the-spot coaching, training, and evaluations when necessary to assist operators in overcoming operational challenges and to maintain compliance with all company policies and client specifications. 
Conducts on the road observations of service to ensure proper implementation of all policies and procedures. - Assesses and reports safety conditions of all aspects of service such as but not limited to road conditions, wires, tree damage, etc., that may affect service and/or routes.Communicates face-to-face with the riding public as customer service and to answer any questions on the ground.Processes passenger complaints and initiates corrective actions designed to improve customer relations and services. 
Initiates investigations into causes of accidents, interviews operators to determine responsibility, takes actions on findings, and submits reports to management. 
Works with dispatch to assist them with efficient operations, timeliness, vehicle swaps, and aids in communication between the shop if needed. 
Active involvement with campaign trainings and safety programs. 
Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports.Oversees a smooth commuting experience for Operators and the public and shares the “best practices” with the entire team.Qualifications:   High school diploma or equivalent. Years of qualified job history can be substituted.At least 21 years or older and a good to excellent driving record for the past 5 years.Ability to pass a criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug screen.Must possess at least a Class B CDL license with Passenger endorsement and no airbrakes restriction.Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision.Must have a strong commitment to safety.Knowledge of operator and shop safety standards.Must be well organized - understanding the importance of prioritizing effectively and managing multiple tasks in an environment with ever competing demands.Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.Must have legible handwriting.Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts.Ability to work on a diverse team.Supervisory experience preferred.If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources at [email protected] or 919-800-4729.       The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
