Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular on-board “ride checks, trail checks” and direct driver observations” to ensure driver adherence of established procedures, e.g. ADA compliance and passengerrelations.Monitor shuttles pull in and out activity to avoid extensive waits,vehicle bunching, and to maintain route schedule integrity.Ensure drivers are not loitering and are maintaining route serviceschedules.Monitor lunch and relief shifts to ensure smooth transitions betweendrivers.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications: Strong decision-making abilities and capability to understand theenvironment and make changes as needed in the field.Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in transit,operations, or logistics.Meet all driver requirements.Must have Class B CDL License with Passenger Endorsementsendorsements.All accidents will be investigated by a contractor designee and qualifiedsupervisor.The University reserves the right to provide similar investigations, andadherence checks of its own without notice to ensure compliance withthe terms of this contract. Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and a drug test Physical Requirements:Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear. Frequently required to sit. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell. Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.100% of the workday is spent outdoors monitoring service on routes, transit facilities, and company locations. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.Remaining work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer; time is spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer.
