Transdev in El Cajon, CA is hiring a Road Supervisor/Window Dispatcher. Road Supervisors/Window Dispatcher ensures all routes are completed in compliance with safety procedures. Key Responsibilities: Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers. Day to day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management. Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports and safety violations documents. Develop and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents. Observe drivers on the road - correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations. Liaison between drivers and both the customers and organization in customer service concerns Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with legal, employment and labor policy matters. Receives lost & found items. Documents bus driver absences and enters into one or more computer databases. Receives and reviews written reports from bus drivers. Enters information on service incidents into a computer data base. Works effectively with fellow window dispatchers, road supervisors and bus operators in order to attain the best service product possible to customers.Ensures that drivers have arrived to work on time by continuously reviewing driver check-in VDS display monitor. Coordinates with maintenance to obtain equipment availability for service, and assigns equipment to drivers.Drive routes periodically. Other duties as required.Qualifications: High School Diploma or GEDMust be able to obtain and maintain a California Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with Passenger Endorsement Must be the age of 21 or olderSupervisory experience with hourly employees; 2-3 years transit supervisory experience preferredComputer literate - basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
