Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently seeking a talented Roadway Design Engineer for our Rome or Atlanta GA Office. While working under limited supervision, the candidate will find opportunities on a wide range of projects involving traffic and safety studies, multi-modal roadway planning, highway design, site civil design, design review and construction oversight.

 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Perform and lead engineering design tasks for roadway and traffic projects from conceptual design to final design.  Develop civil design of multi-modal transportation projects per AASHTO and applicable design standards. Develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates. Prepare final bid packages, design-build packages, and bridging documents.   Possess excellent in-depth knowledge of roadway design software tools including MicroStation and InRoads, Synchro, and SIDRA.  Mentor and develop new engineers in transportation and roadway design.  Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients  Perform technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects. Assists in preparing reports, plans, and studies.  Assists in developing proposals, presentations, and reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

What your experience looks like

Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering. Preferably in civil or transportation. In depth knowledge of Microstation and InRoads softwares. 5-10 years of experience.      Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering. Excellent oral and written communications skills  Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Registration as an EIT or PE preferred. GDOT experience preferred.
