Our Orlando, FL office is looking for a Civil Operator or Designer with 8+years of experience to join our Roadway team!

Responsibilities The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculationsRequires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasksHas knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changesMaintains drawing databaseWill supervise and train CAD staffCoordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality controlDevelop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standardsDevelop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for projects.This would include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing and striping plans. Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settingsAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in Microstation or Open RoadsStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learnAbility to work independently and with a teamWillingness to mentor and teach othersDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter Why Kimley-Horn?
