HDR is hiring a licensed PDE/Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Business Group in Jacksonville, FL.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projectsOversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other EITsPrepare detailed engineering designs and concept plans for roadway, highway, and multimodal projectsParticipate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis and concept design to final design and through the construction phaseAssume some project management duties and interact with clients as neededPerform other duties as needed

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other engineering disciplineMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience PDE project experienceExperience with Geopak, LDD, or other 3D CAD design softwareInRoads or Open Roads Designer experiencePreference given to local candidatesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degreePrevious experience in all aspects of roadway engineering designProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseHands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineeringsoftware such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/orAutodesk Infraworks and Civil3dMS Office knowledgeExcellent communication and organizational skills Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plansAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
