Are you ready for new opportunities and career growth? HDR is looking for a Roadway Section Manager in our Boise Idaho office to lead a talented and strong group of professional.

In the role of Roadway Section Manager here in Idaho we will count on you to:

Take responsibility for operations of the roadway section including staff growth, staff development, technical leadership, morale, quality control, marketing support and coordination with other disciplinesProactively manage and market transportation engineering projects and help grow our area Transportation GroupServe as a Senior Engineer on roadway projects, project management (including planning, directing and monitoring) of transportation projects from concept through final designManagement of sub consultants and technical support staffAssist with business development for the transportation market, tracking upcoming project opportunities, and collaborating on project pursuitsSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project managementMeet and/or exceed internal and external client expectations for quality, schedule, and budgetImplement, monitor, and support company policySelect, train, develop, and manage technical personnelManage and develop multidiscipline teamsWork cooperatively with other senior engineers in local, regional, and national marketing and production effortsPerform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record in marketing and winning of design-bid-build work and/or other delivery methods.Demonstrate ability to build client relationships and lead proposals to win work.Experience with Idaho Highway Districts and ITD as well as the federal aid processAn entrepreneurial mindset that is committed to growing HDR’s Idaho programAn extensive understanding of CAD; ORD and/or Civil 3DExperience in hiring, developing, mentoring, and managing staff to promote career growth and positive moral. An attitude and commitment to qualityRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
