This role requires a hands-on professional with extensive experience in roadway design and a strong technical background. The ideal candidate will lead projects, sign and seal drawings, and ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: Lead project teams in schematic design and PS&E for roadway and highway projects. Act as Project Engineer, taking the lead in signing and sealing drawings and making independent decisions. Manage project activities including scope, budget, and schedule management. Attend design review meetings and interact with clients. Provide guidance and supervision to supporting staff. Engage with engineering organizations such as ACEC, ASCE, and AASHTO. Skills and Requirements Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Valid Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license. 8-10 years of experience in roadway design, specifically in Texas. TxDOT Precertification in Roadway Design. Proficiency in Microstation, Geopak, and OpenRoads 3D. Knowledge of Texas county and city roadway design standards. Strong technical background with the ability to perform design work and sign/seal plans. Experience with roadway design. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. Ability to manage and update project schedules using Primavera. Plusses: TxDOT Precertification in Roadway Design (4.2.1), Bridge, and Drainage is preferred Longevity in previous roles and 3 references are a plus.
