Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOverall responsibilities and duties:
• Set and validate parameters on Semiautomatic, Automatic, and Robot Welding equipment for GMAW, GTAW, and RSW
• Supervise the programming, maintenance, and enhancement of welding paths on Fanuc ArcMate100iC & D and R30ib Controller & Motoman/Yasakawa DX100, NX100, and XRC controllers as well as other robot manufactures.
• Support RFQ’s for new welding equipment
• Support machine runoff and machine acceptance
• Supervise and participate in weld training activities as needed
• Trouble shoot production welding equipment
• Maintain Documents for Weld Standardization and WPS
• Coordinate PM and Repairs on welding equipment
• Coordinate PM and Maintenance of Calibration of Welding Robot Systems
• Implement welding related cost saving within the plant
• Upgrade and maintain welding equipment to the Faurecia Standards
• Perform welding audits
• Direct and support activities to ensure plant welding meets all customer and Faurecia welding standards and requirements
• Support activities to reduce welding scrap in the plant
• Support design engineering on new programs for design for manufacturing
• Participate in welding network activities and training
• Adhere to the Code of Ethics
• Adhere to Code of Management
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level
o Diploma/ BE/ B tech with Robotic welding certificate
Experience:
o Minimum 5-7 years of Robotic welding experience
Skills and competencies
o Thorough familiarity with the GMAW, GTAW, and RSW processes and equipment
o Knowledge of Stainless-Steel Metallurgy
o Resolves problems/conflicts, and mentors/coaches as needed.
o Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving ability.
o Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
o 4-year degree in Welding Engineering or Engineering degree with 2 plus years welding experience
o Must be able to pass the Faurecia weld training program for both GMAW and GTAW
o Team player with strong organisation and communication skills
o International mind set.
o Operational Level English.
