The Robotics Enabling Technology Specialist (w/m/x) Hip Replacement is focused on ensuring best-in-class product expertise and clinical support of new and existing CORI customers. The Robotics Enabling Technology Specialist (w/m/x) Hip Replacement is a critical role and an expert in two distinct disciplines: Enabling technologies and orthopedic robotics with a specific expertise in the S&N robotic hip portfolio and in the medical side of joint reconstruction. This person is responsible for driving strategic and applied technical support of S+N Robotics customers as well as the internal robotics support and sales teams.
A deep knowledge of both Joint Reconstruction and Robotics is imperative to be successful in this role. The role has the immediately executable goal of ensuring clinical support of customers, shortening surgeon learning curves, increasing adoption of the technology, and ultimately driving case utilization.
This role reports to the Director, Robotics Enabling Technology and will directly assist our Orthopaedics & Robotics teams in Europe.
What will you be doing?
Gain and maintain a high level of technical knowledge of the whole orthopedic reconstruction product line with major focus on Real Intelligence Hip Application and the CORI platform for S+N Robotics technology
Ensure the markets have the relevant resources needed to successfully launch and adopt new technology. Run regular team update calls with the robotic field force to ensure them being up to date with all relevant information and connect with the global marketing and development teams to gain that knowledge
Ensure proper tracking of robotics installed base across the portfolio, to enable seamless monthly reporting into the relevant global dashboards, by following up with the markets and field people to provide relevant information wherever necessary
Assist the medical and commercial education teams to deliver “Best in Class” training to surgeons and internal stakeholders
Establish strong working relationships with Recon field leadership and internal support roles as well as the relevant global marketing counterparts
Understand the competitive landscape with major competitor players installed base as well as upcoming new technologies
What will you need to be successful?
University degree (Bachelor or Master) in e.g. Engineering, Medical Technology, Marketing, Business Administration or professional training with extensive relevant experience
Min. 5 years in the Medical Devices industry, ideally in the field of orthopaedic surgery such as knee and hip replacement in roles like Sales / Marketing or technical and clinical support
Relevant experience in a similar position
Good business sense – an understanding of how sales / marketing ties into the profitability of a company
Ability to work collaborative and effective cross functional teams, flexibility and adaptability managing multiple priorities as well as very good communications skills (especially with highly technical information)
Very good English language knowledge (written and spoken), preferably 1-2 other European languages (e.g. German, French)
Travel Requirements: 10-20%
