Robotics Engineer - Electronics/ECE

Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. As a Robotics Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing the electronic systems that power our robots. You'll handle circuit design, sensor integration, and PCB development to create reliable, high-performance solutions that bring our robotic concepts to life. Key responsibilities: + Develop and test electronic systems, including sensor arrays, motor controllers, and embedded hardware + Design and layout PCBs for robotic applications, ensuring performance and scalability + Integrate electronic components with mechanical and software systems for full functionality + Troubleshoot hardware issues and implement design improvements during development cycles + Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance robotic system performance + Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate Qualifications to be successful in the role: + Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a similar field + Practical experience with circuit design and PCB development + Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded systems + Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for electronic hardware + Team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities Employment Type: + Independent contractor position + 40 hours per week Work Location: Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales Why Planate?
