HITT Contracting, a Washington Post Top Workplace, seeks a summer intern to join our Research and Development team from May to August in the Falls Church, VA, headquarters office. This entry level intern will support a variety of robotics initiatives including design and development of 3D printed components, inventory and organization of work areas, supporting field deployments of robots, process documentation, and day-to-day support of various initiatives. The position reports to the Robotics Lead in the Research and Development team and will be mentored / managed on a day-to-day basis by multiple members of the R&D team.

Responsibilities

Supporting regular field deployments of robotics on jobsites

Day-to-day support of robotics and initiatives

Design and development of components including 3D printed parts

Conducting inventory and organization of work areas

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to different processes

Participate and provide meaningful input in departmental meetings

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to analyze data to obtain meaningful results

Familiar with and 3D CAD software and 3D printing

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

Highly self-motivated and directed

Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Knowledge of MS Office suite

Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
