We are looking for a Robotics & Mechatronics Engineer

Job Description:

Specification, design and implementation of mechatronics & robotics systems for complex satellites, landers & Rovers. The candidate shall operate inside a project team but strongly linked to the Mechatronics and Robotics of the Engineering Dpt discipline and interface with the Agencies and external Customers, therefore he shall have peculiar communication skills, pro-active attitude in facing and solving problems and inclination to team working. He has to have a solid cultural base in mechanisms, mechatronics & robotics systems field such to be able to define and manage in a short time a complex system design.

Key duties:

Kinematic & dynamic analysis of mechatronics & robotics systemsControl of automatic systemsControl algorithm implementation and deployment on COTS avionicsSizing and selection of electromechanical components & systemsOrganization and follow-on of laboratory activities for systems validation in R&D projects and running programsSelection of sensors for mechatronics & robotics systems applicationsDefinition of specifications for mechatronics & robotics systems and follow-on of the relevant procurementDefinition of design, development and verification plans for mechatronics & robotics systemsTechnical management and control of Subcontractors’ activitiesParticipation to progress meetings and project reviews preparing the required technical documentation and answer/discussion of customer RIDs

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

Past work experience of at least 1.5 years in activities relevant to planetary robotics from design and analysis up to validation testingMaster degree in mechatronics & robotics engineeringAble to manage multiple tasks at one timeOrganized and methodical with strong communication skillsHigh team working capabilities and customer orientationGood will in facing and learning new thingsFluent English (spoken and written)Available for business travels in Italy and abroadAttitude towards innovation and problem solving
