Responsibilities

Follow the facility’s Safety Rules, Critical Safety Rules, Departmental Safety Rules and Safe PracticesPerform Tasks Following SOPsKeeping “ME” Safe Must be the First PriorityMust be Lock out Tag out CertifiedCommunicate With Process Operator for Back-to-Back Roll Changes and ChangeoversMaintain Good Housekeeping Throughout ShiftVerify Correct Material on Your Lines at Shift StartCheck for Changeovers and Communicate Roll Stock Needs 1 hour prior to LTO Verify Changeover Material is CorrectPerform “Back-to-Back” Roll Changes Following Infeed SWISSet up Roll Splicer if Applicable (Training provided)Maintain the Correct Number of Rolls Online and On the Unwind Stand – Especially When Going to BreakGrind Roll Scrap following the roll scrap procedureCommunicate Effectively with Team Members, Process Operator, LTOAssist in Break relief for other Infeed OperatorsAssist Process Operator as NeededSupport the TeamBe able to maintain up to 6 lines Be able to work under pressure with good time management 6-mos. of work experience or equivalent work experience Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Physical Requirements/ Environmental Conditions:

Must be able to move rolls and risers continuouslyMust be able to constantly stand, walk, use hands and arms Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs Must frequently be able to bend at the waist/ hips Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Constantly required reaching away from the body and frequently reaching overhead Ability to keep up with a machine conveyor line Able to work in differing temperatures

Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as required

The plant was built in 1967 and manufactures polystyrene foam containers. It has approximately 370 Pactiv employees.
