DescriptionThe incumbent in this position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, corridors, floor public areas and pantries according to standards established by the hotel. \n
The job of the Room Attendant is executed satisfactorily when:\nRooms are cleaned in time and according to standard.\nHousekeeping Trolleys are well maintained.\nHygiene standards are strictly monitored and followed.\nLQA (Leading Quality Assurance) audit results are 85% and above.\n
Key Responsibilities\nClean assigned guest rooms according to standards established by the hotel. It involves, but not limited to, making the bed, dusting the room and furniture, replenishing guest room and bath supplies, cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming the carpet.\nWhilst cleaning the room, verify that all is in proper condition and order of functioning and reports to Supervisor any items that need repair. \nClean corridors and floor public areas around guest rooms assigned. Also maintain cleanliness of equipment and pantries.\n Keep informed of hotel product and service knowledge in order to answer guest questions. \nAnswer all guest questions / requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle. It may be providing information, giving an extra item such as a towel, etc. \nWrite down on their assignment sheets relevant information for record purposes and possible future inquiries. At the end of shift, report special attention guest, unusual situations, incidents that need follow up, to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.\nVerify the physical status of room and updates Order Taker of any discrepancies found. \nReport at once to Supervisor and Order Taker lost and found items and coordinates with Order Taker when to bring items down.\nProvide the turn down service to assigned guest rooms according to standards established by the hotel. It involves, but not limited to, turning down the bed, replenishing guest room and bath supplies and cleaning the bathroom if necessary. Help control guest and cleaning supplies to save costs.\nClean assigned guest rooms, the late check out and late service required by guests, according to standards established by the hotel. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nNATIONALITY: Eligible for a working permit in country of hire
\n\nEDUCATION: Equivalent of Middle School Graduate preferable
\n\nEXPERIENCE: To fill the position, previous hotel-related experience would be beneficial \nLANGUAGE: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment:\nEnglish –oral skills are a must\nLocal and any other language – oral and written skills would be beneficial\n COMPETENCIES: \nAttention to details \nFlexibility in terms of scheduling\nPhysical ability to clean 13 rooms per day according to standards\nPhysical ability to push and pull the room attendant cart\n
