Supervises and coordinates Room Service activities and orders in accordance with Loews Hotels standards. Delivers sets up and serves Room Service orders, amenity presentations, provides service for functions in Hospitality Suites.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Performs departmental opening and closing dutiesMonitors and supervises department staffSchedules Room Service staff according to established guidelines and forecasted needsObtains Hospitality function sheets, coordinates activities as needed to ensure timely performance of all necessary duties. Oversee all aspects of Hospitality Suite set up, service and breakdownOversees VIP amenity preparation and delivery, monitors in-house VIP’s to ensure satisfactionSupervises completion of required set up / preparation, at beginning of shiftInspects all equipment prior to, during and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to supervisorInventories supplies at beginning of shift, obtains supplies necessary to support forecasted level of businessCoordinates preparation of coffee as required throughout shiftEnsures trays and carts are reset as required throughout shiftChecks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchenOversees/performs delivery of Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely mannerMonitors/sets up and serves order in guest room, according to guest preference, in a polite professional mannerEnsures that proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered is obtainedMonitors completion of departmental paperwork to ensure accuracyCoordinates pick up of soiled Room Service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridorsEnsures cleanliness of Room Service area and equipmentAssigns and verifies completion of closing duties at end of shiftPerforms administrative functions for department in accordance with hotel standardsMaintains special service/amenity requests files and coordinates delivery of items requestedAttends meetings as required to communicate with personnel and stay current with pertinent hotel information and activitiesCoaches , counsels, retrains employees as needed to ensure superior levels of serviceKnow how to open and close Honor bar area and post charges to guest accountsSubmits daily requisitions for storeroom & beverage for departmentOther duties as assignedSupportive Functions and Responsibilities

Thorough knowledge of quality Room Service techniques and standardsEffective organization, communication and management skillsAbility to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35+ poundsAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidaysEducation:
High School diploma or equivalentExperience:
One plus years experience as Room Service Supervisor/Captain in high volume, quality hotel operation
