Responsibilities
Position Summary:
A Room Support performs routine patient care activities and related non-professional services in the care of the sub-acute acute and critically ill patient under the direction of the R.N. circulator and first line supervisor. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Has a minimum of one year Operating Room experience or one years experience in general hospital settingCurrent American Heart Association BLS/CPR cardCertification in medical terminology course; must pass medical terminology equivalency testMust have legible handwriting knowledge of spelling grammar and basic arithmeticDemonstrate skills in dealing with the public and telephone courtesyDemonstrated skill in patient transfers to wheelchairs gurneys etc.Skilled in proper use of body mechanicsSelf motivated; able to initiate tasks as instructed
