Rooms Division Manager (m/w)

Responsibilities:

Ensuring guest satisfaction in the Rooms Division area.Providing the best possible guest care within the Rooms Division, with consideration for special guests.Leading and managing the department to achieve maximum occupancy and the best possible average room rate.Overseeing and adjusting workflows at the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Concierge as needed.Ensuring effective collaboration within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments; maintaining up-to-date information on internal operations and ensuring effective communication with the Leadership Committee.Assisting with guest check-in and check-out processes.Conducting quality room inspections and ensuring compliance with standards and brand requirements.Managing a cash register and performing reconciliations as necessary, along with all associated responsibilities.Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and order in the hotel lobby and other public areas.Handling professional complaint management and training employees in this area.Supporting accurate data entry and maintenance in the property management and reservation systems.Monitoring room occupancy to maximize revenue and participating in yield meetings.Regularly taking on duty shifts.Organizing and conducting departmental meetings.Managing the department cost-effectively and being responsible for the Rooms budget.Representing the Rooms Division in executive meetings and cross-departmental projects.Ensuring quality control in Housekeeping through active quality checks.Developing new leadership talent in various departments and fostering emerging talent.Strategically analyzing business performance and working with department heads to create accurate forecasts.Proactively managing costs in collaboration with department heads and Rooms KPIs.Promoting employee satisfaction and achieving maximum results in employee surveys, in collaboration with the Executive Committee.Conducting performance development plans/discussions with department heads to support their development goals.Ensuring department heads carry out performance development plans/discussions with their teams.

Requirements:

Completed vocational training in the hospitality industry.Experience in Front Office and Rooms departments in upscale hotels is an advantage.Strong computer skills; knowledge of Opera and PMS is an advantage.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.a polished appearance and a positive demeanor.Open-mindedness and strong team spirit.Proficiency in German and English; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
