People • Customers • Trust This job posting is for a Rotary Die Cut Assistant position at our Chicago Container plant located at 5445 W 73rd St. Bedford Park, IL 60638. Pay and Benefits Position is for 3rd shift (11:00PM - 7:00AM) Pay from $28.54/hr based on skills and experience plus shift differential Excellent Benefits Package including Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Plan. 1.5 pay over 8 hours, or over 40 hours and weekends. 1.5 pay on holidays, plus additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays. Stipend for safety shoes and safety glasses. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste. Responsible for leading machine crew with setups and changeovers by mounting printing plates and/or cutting dies. Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets required dimensions and there are zero material defects. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Problem solve when issues arise with machine. Perform other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED. Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem-solving skills. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a packaging environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel. Excellent communication skills. Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
