Routing and Siting Specialist - Environmental

The Routing and Siting specialists in the environmental field help identify the best location for a project by evaluating environmental requirements, identifying constraints, and ensuring compliance with regulations DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES +  Route and Site Selection: Identify and evaluate potential routes or sites for projects, considering factors such as land use, environmental sensitivity, and proximity to existing infrastructure. + Oversee the project to ensure consistency with client's scope/budget/schedule and ensure quality standards on deliverables + Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with landowners, government agencies, environmental groups, and the public to gather input and address concerns during the planning process. + Data Analysis and Mapping: Use GIS, ESRI and other mapping tools to analyze geographical data, evaluate terrain, and assess land conditions for potential projects. + Project Coordination: Work closely with engineers, environmental planners, and regulatory bodies to integrate routing and siting considerations into the overall project plan. + Experience with Certificate of Public Necessity/Hearing experience. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Land Use Planning or a related field + 5+ year's experience.
