Royalty Contracts Assistant

We are seeking a **Royalty Management Specialist** to join our **Accounting Department** for a **6-month fixed-term contract** . Based in Paris, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on-site and remotely (up to four days per week). In this role, you will manage the end-to-end royalty process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to authors and rights holders.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ **Financial Validation** : Review and validate contractual financial elements provided by desk editors.
+ **Document Management** : Obtain all necessary supporting documents from rights holders to facilitate proper royalty payments.
+ **Royalty Statements** : Produce and report royalty statements, manage advances, and gather tax forms for rights holders.
+ **Accounting and Payments** : Prepare journal accounting entries, process payments, issue invoices for rights receivables, and monitor cash collection.
+ **Author Support** : Act as the primary point of contact for authors regarding inquiries related to sales or rights payments.
+ **System Improvement Projects** : Contribute to projects aimed at upgrading and enhancing current royalty management software (if applicable).
**Your Profile**
+ **Experience** : You have prior experience in publishing (within a legal department, rights management, or as a royalty accountant). Is it preffered to have around 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
+ **Skills** :
+ Highly organized and persistent, with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in **French** (required for most interactions) and **English** (written and read).
+ Strong knowledge of **Microsoft Office** (Word and Excel).
+ **Knowledge** : Familiarity with **French law** or **intellectual property** is an asset.
