RPP/PDU Assembler
**Job Title: RPP/PDU Assembler** **Job Description** The role involves working with tap off boxes, switchgear units, remote power panels, and mechanical power distribution units. The openings are available in both mechanical and electrical areas, with a significant need in the mechanical domain. Candidates will be responsible for assembling small units that require proficiency in using hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. + Assemble data bar units, fasten, drill, attach, and build complete units using metal parts. + Perform control wiring throughout the individual units in the electrical area. + Engage in general labor duties such as stocking, inventory, or unwrapping raw materials. + Utilize hand and power tools for assembly purposes. + Understand drawings to identify necessary parts or replacement parts for assembling finished products. + Maintain production pace to meet daily unit completion goals which vary each day. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Mechanical inclination. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. + 1-3 years of assembly or similar experience. + 1 year of wiring experience through hobby, school, or professional work. + Tape measure reading skills and blueprint or schematic reading are a bonus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience. + Good attitude, performance, and attendance. + Proven track record of success without frequent job changes. **Why Work Here?** This company is a leading provider of critical power infrastructure across diverse industry sectors, offering significant growth opportunities. Although not climate-controlled, the building design provides a comfortable atmosphere. The shift runs from 4:00pm to 12:30am, Monday through Friday, with training from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Optional hours are available Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
