RRP C&TA Temporary Manager
Position purpose:
You will support 121/Visibility Iberia Leads in translating Brands strategies and plans into 121/Visibility program respectively (121 actions at point-of-sales and permanent merchandising tools for all portfolio) at Portugal market level, working very closely with Brands, Field Support/Field Force to ensure a successful implementation, helping to control and optimize the respective budgets at market level.
You will help to coordinate the evolution of the 121/Visibility Program in Portugal, monitoring and presenting results, proposing needed improvements and implementing corrective actions of the projects assigned.
You will ensure correct operational daily execution at Field in Portugal and competitiveness in terms of 121 actions, visibility materials and tools implemented and quality service placement for the projects assigned.
What will you do – responsibilities:
Responsible of the correct daily implementation of the 121 and Visibility projects assigned at market level in order to ensure business objectives focus and investment priorities are met, while guaranteeing relevance and competitiveness. Ensure the right alignment and communication flow with Brands, Field Force and suppliers at market level. Ensure daily incidences are properly solved in a timely manner to minimize impact on Field execution.
Support 121 Iberia Lead in 121 agency management: propose the annual agencies KPIs and their consequent assessment to determine access to variable bonus. Give proposals to the specific structure costs of the agency as well as the 121 promoters and coordinators salaries conditions. Follow-up of 121 promoters´rotation analysis on a regular basis and study new proposals in order to reduce it. Benchmarking vs. Competition. 121 activities annual distribution per areas & provinces of campaigns working closely with Brands teams, Field Force, Agencies and other departments if necessary. Make the required changes and/or fine tunings during the year, guaranteeing that the plan is accomplished. If planning or other changes are proposed, manage them with urgency recommending fine tunings to gain efficiencies.
PERMANENT MERCHANDISING (Screens, ad-hoc furniture/materials, etc): Within the Visibility projects assigned, define and manage permanent materials needed in the market, coherently to the brands strategies and budget allocated. Ensure high quality and innovation to enhance JTI brands´visibility vs. competitors.
PURCHASING PROCESS, SUPPLIERS´FOLLOW-UP & CONTROL: Coordinate with suppliers & purchasing department the prices, features and minimum order quantity of permanent materials for the projects assigned and ensure constant quality, innovation and flexibility for Field Force and Trade. In coordination with Purchasing Department, monitor the quality of service of suppliers at Field both for 121 and Visibility assigned projects. Manage incidences at Field to implement timely corrective actions.
MONITORING & REPORTING: Monitor market 121/Visibility projects results against KPIs (on-going) and recommend corrective actions if necessary. Prepare periodic presentations in order to update local Sales department about program activation/results and to keep top management (Local, Region, etc.) up to date on 121/Visibility projects assigned & performance at market level (on request).
BUDGET CONTROL: Following 121/Visibility Iberia lead guidelines, effectively control budget for the 121/Visibility projects assigned in the market (raise agencies´POs, do GRs), in line with company´s policies and processes: propose optimization, looking for costs efficiencies, implement reallocation and cancellation if necessary following strategy, commercial & planning requirements. Analyze total budget, costs by different concepts/projects and per 121 activity on an on going basis.
Do Field visits and traslate key conclusions into recommendations to Brands, Field Force and suppliers to ensure to cope with market trends and to implement corrective actions if needed. Alignment with Legal department and JTI Guidelines.
Who are we looking for – requirements:
University degree. Master will be a plus.
Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG similar managerial positions. Others Commercial experience is valuable.
Native Portuguese (Spanish as a plus) and Fluent English both written and spoken.
Advanced in MS Office (particularly Power Point and Excel).
Commercial skills (Marketing & Trade Marketing).
Communication and interpersonal skills, organizational and planning skills (priorities´ focus), good in attention to details, multitasking skills, proactive professional with initiative (problem-solving), creativity & innovation, analytical skills, flexibility.
