Key Responsibilities
MANAGEMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage team of Lab techniciansResponsible for compliance with Mars Global Laboratory Standard and local requirementsRespect the operating budgetCoordinate Ring testing and Proficiency TestCoordinate RM and finished product quality control programsResponsible for the equipment (in lab and in the extrusion area) maintenance and calibrationResponsible for lab consumable and service suppliesOrganize and train lab techniciansResponsible for chemical waste managementResponsible for maintaining a safe environmentResponsible for control of chemicalsResponsible for performing analysisCommunicate with regional/central lab and external labCoordinate the shipment of samples (internal/external)Service internal and external clientsResponsible for retention samplesCoordinate the OOS, NC and complaint investigationResponsible for product releaseResponsible for lab system managementManage continuous improvement in the laboratoryUpdating management on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)As required, guarantee quality tests on incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedureQuality control procedures (perform and record)Sampling of products to ensure quality controlSAFETY
All PPE must be worn in compliance with the Legal/RC requirementsEnforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policyStop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are brokenGuarantee and apply ISO 45001 and all related working proceduresENVIRONMENT

Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, 22000, FSSC 22000, Mars Standards, and all related working proceduresSupport the HACCP program in the departmentLead GMP-GHP in the area, 5SInform Q&FS manager of quality deviations according to product standards and production proceduresPerform the oPRP’s procedure according to SOPsValidate all analysis resultsResponsible for auto control analysisCoordinate the daily morning panelCollect Q&FS KPIs as for input to periodically management review;Any task as delegated by ManagerHUMAN RESOURCES
Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person in the positionCLEANLINESS & TIDINESS
Ensure proper housekeeping is done on a daily basis in the lab and sample roomsPerform 5S auditsCOMMUNICATION & INFORMATION
Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rulesCommunicate to all departments about rejected RM’s or RM’s placed on QA HoldUpdate KPIsJob Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualifications
Higher education in food science, chemistry, laboratory, or similar fields is mandatoryPrevious experience in a food / feed plant laboratory preferredHave the health certificate within the validity periodKnowledge / Experience
