RT Level 1/Trainee Technician

The RT Level 1 Technician performs NDT operations.

 

Hourly Range: $18-$22/hr

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned X-Ray tasks, in which certified. Able to assist Level 2/Level 3 with process and program related duties as required. Ability to set up and calibrate various X-ray equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, under the guidance of a Level 2 or Level 3 inspector. Ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and health guidelines and our radiation safety program and regulations. Perform the daily RT process control test as required. Perform other job-related tasks assigned by management. Basic computer skills. Self-motivated and reliable with the ability to self-direct work schedule once trained. Make and keep company and customer commitments as assigned by the supervisor. Ability to work well with others, and success working in small teams. Ability and willingness to share on-the-job knowledge with others. Ability to communicate with multiple levels of employees and Management. Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required and appropriate. 12 months prior NDT experience required.

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Frequent lifting up to 55 lbs.
