RTC Supervisor
**Job Summary:** The RTC Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the reference testing employees and processes to ensure the department is appropriately staffed to meet established TAT for all hospital reference testing and activities (i.e., TAT, quality, metrics, etc.). For more detailed information, please click here (https://careers.labcorp.com/global/en/us-rewards-and-wellness) **.** **Hours of Work:** 12pm – 9pm, 1 hour for lunch, Monday-Friday requires flexible schedule to include weekend and holiday coverage needs **Functional Responsibilities:** Provides supervision of the day-to-day operation of the Hospital Services department. Leads the team in Regional and Divisional daily processes and procedures, encourages and engages in process and service level improvements in addition to other duties as assigned including but not limited to: + Directly supervise, train, and mentor personnel in the hospital services department + Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate coverage to include assigning work when scheduled employees are absent to ensure business continuity + Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed + Research and resolve any hospital errors (missed pickups, client concerns) while escalating when necessary + Engage in continuous process and service level improvements + Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy of staff work + Prepare and maintain quality assurance records and documents + Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development + Responsible for administering and managing all policies and procedures + Process and maintain payroll and personnel files + Conducts meetings and assures appropriate internal/external communication. + Communicates in a clear, concise and credible manner to secure the understanding of the established vision and strategies through positive interaction with employees, clients, corporate operations, and management staff + Performs administrative duties and other tasks as needed + Responsible for assigning work, administering quality control & safety program + Act as a liaison with other departments and customers on extended inquiries. + Trains new and existing staff on both general and specific task procedures. Assess employee work performance. **Minimum Education and Experience Required:** Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-5 years’ experience, but an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Must have a Valid Driver’s License along with a clean driving record. Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures are preferred. Prior hospital reference testing experience and/or applicable laboratory knowledge through relevant work experience preferably in a role of progression or increased responsibility is preferred. **Skills and Competencies:** Ability to relate professionally with people, compose letters/memorandum, critical thinking, high level attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills, motivate others, gap analysis, decision making, research and problem resolution, time management, train employees, written and verbal communications, supervisory skills, strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications, use of computerized databases. **Working Conditions and Physical Demands:** Ability to work outside of regular scheduled hours to support the operation which may include nights/weekends/holidays. Ability to manage organizational and client priorities for more than one organization’s needs.
