We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager – Sales Use Tax
This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all state and local sales and use tax returns. This includes researching and interpreting complex tax laws, regulations, and guidance to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. The Sales Use Tax Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate sales and use tax records, conducting audits, and providing support to internal and external customers on sales and use tax matters.

Responsibilities
Prepare and file all state and local sales and use tax returns, including but not limited to:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual returns
Nexus filings
Special use tax returns
Voluntary disclosure agreements
Research and interpret complex sales and use tax laws, regulations, and guidance from various jurisdictions.
Maintain accurate sales and use tax records, including sales and use tax exemption certificates, purchase orders, and invoices.
Conduct periodic audits of sales and use tax accounts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Respond to sales and use tax audits conducted by state and local tax authorities.
Provide support to internal and external customers on sales and use tax matters, including answering questions, resolving disputes, and providing training.
Stay current on all changes in sales and use tax laws and regulations.
Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications we seek in you
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3 years of experience in sales and use tax compliance.
Strong knowledge of state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations.
Experience with sales and use tax software and systems.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
