About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Identify heat zones to reflect required amount of heat needed for mold. Compensate for variations in temperature to ensure accurate mold. Perform test to verify quality of product upon completion. Ensure compliance of completed product with established specifications. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Rubber Injection Molding Machine Operator without more than normal supervision which include analyzing computer generated data to determine operational adjustments needed and physically checking completed material to ensure quality requirement specifications are met. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Physical Efforts-The work requires moderate to strenuous effort, continuous standing, walking, climbing, stooping and bending. Workers frequently lift and carry track shoes weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance of other workers or weight handling equipment. Requires normal visual acuity, field of vision, depth perception and reaction time. Working Conditions-Works inside a shop building on concrete surface. Workers are subject to noise, high temperatures, rubber dust, dirt, grease, solvents, detergents, oil, and fumes in the work area. Subject to burns, loss or fracture of fingers or other extremities. Required to wear protective equipment including respirator, safety shoes, gloves, eye protection and back support. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) Logistics Career Field position.
