Ruminant Veterinary Adviser

**THE POSITION**
Are you looking for a new role that allows you to apply your clinical knowledge in a different setting?
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic farm animal vet to join our team as Ruminant Veterinary Adviser for the North of the UK
Reporting to the Livestock Technical Services Manager and working closely with our ruminant sales and marketing teams, you’ll play a central role in supporting our customers and their clients to use our innovative portfolio of veterinary products to maximise health and productivity.
You’ll be a skilled, confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and working with others and derives satisfaction from using your technical expertise to contribute to the success of the Boehringer Ingelheim ruminant business.
At least two years of experience in ruminant veterinary practice is required. An interest in the varied working life and opportunities that the pharmaceutical industry can offer vets is essential, but prior experience of working in this sector is not, as training and support will be provided.
This is a full-time, field-based position covering the Scotland and the North of England. The successful candidate will be located within this territory and be happy to travel on a frequent basis.
**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
To actively support the UK and Ireland Animal Health business to meet its objectives:
• Technical advice and support on all aspects of the use, efficacy and safety of Ruminant products.
• Work in partnership with brand teams to provide technical and scientific insights and add value to development of marketing materials.
• Ensure marketing and sales activities comply with pharmacogivilance, regulatory requirements, and the NOAH/APHA Codes of Practice.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external experts.
• Technical training of internal and external customers.
• Technical support to sales team and customers through field visits.
**REQUIREMENTS**
• Veterinary degree
• Previous experience in Ruminant practice
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercial focus
• Analytical and detail oriented
• A high level of product, technical and disease area knowledge.
