Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to expedite all food orders taken by the Bartenders and Servers to the guest quickly.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Serve Food in a timely manner.Ensure food order is correct before serving to the guests.Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests’ needs.Work requires 6 months previous food server / running experience.Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.Must present a neat and professional appearance.Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.Work requires teamwork with other staff members. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends. Must be able to work in a team environment to complete tasks. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Additional Details

Education and Work Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior restaurant/bus person experience preferred. Must have experience with tray service throughout restaurant.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

Must be able to work independently.Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
