Job title –Team leader Registered Veterinary Nurse

Location – Kentdale referrals Milnthorpe

Hours – Working 40 hours per week over 5 days and an average of 1:8 weekends, the role is approximately 80% clinical and 20% non-clinical, to allow time for administrative duties.

Salary – From £32,000 per annum

As one of the leading small animal referral centres in the UK, we have been delivering excellence in pet healthcare for over 10 years.  We currently have a vacancy for a Registered Veterinary Nurse Team Leader to come and join our amazing nursing team.  Our aim is to deliver the highest standards of veterinary nursing care to our patients, and with care and dedication to make this a better world for pets.  

Located on the edge of the beautiful Lake District in Milnthorpe, Cumbria, Kentdale is a specialist-led referral centre treating a wide range of surgical patients in our purpose-built veterinary hospital.  Our service teams include Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Soft Tissue Surgery.

The successful applicant will form a key part of the Veterinary Nursing leadership team and will be responsible for mentoring our highly skilled nurses to deliver exceptional patient care and the highest standards of clinical excellence.

The team​

​You’ll be surrounded by highly experienced specialists in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and work as a key member of our nursing leadership team. As a team, we’re all committed to the pursuit of clinical excellence, we share ideas and support each other to develop comprehensive and innovative solutions that truly deliver the best care for our patients. Whilst this is a busy referral hospital, we work hard to ensure rotas and schedules are balanced and fair.

​What we’re looking for​

An RVN with at least 2 years of qualified experience and experience in leading a teamA passion for orthopaedic and soft tissue nursing, you don’t need prior referral experience but a keen interest if preferable
