As a S&T Research Chemist, Experienced, you will join the PPG Silica R&D team to provide technical support to Silica business initiatives while also contributing to new technology and new product development. Your emphasis will be on customer support for coatings- and carrier-grade precipitated silica products.

Main Responsibilities:

You will support both the development of new technologies and products and the commercialization of all precipitated silica products.You will investigate customer complaints and design work plans to identify root causes and corrective actions.You will support new technology and product development in Silica R&D by providing guidance, technical support, sample preparation/testing support.You will track customer trials of PPG precipitated silica products by arranging sample shipments, providing technical support, following up with customers, and reporting current status to the PPG Silica business and Technical Service.You will thoroughly document findings, observations, measurements, data, and test results for communication to team members, the Manufacturing organization, customers, and leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a relevant technical field, such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or an Engineering discipline with a background in chemistry.2+ years of work experience in a chemical laboratory setting.1+ years of work experience in coatings formulation or application and testing.
