S3D Electrical/Mechanical Superintendent III
The Electrical/Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for directing field work activities for Site Support Services (S3D). Superintendents are responsible for safe and environmentally compliant execution of field work activities, reviewing work for quality and completeness, reporting performance, and ensuring procedural compliance. Other duties include front line worker development and mentoring, planning support, materials support, work schedule updates, and fundamental Labor relations. **This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC** **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS** + Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment + Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. Ensures environmental guidelines are followed without deviation. + This job description is not intended to include every duty, task or instruction for which an employee is responsible. Other tasks may be assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisors request + Field implementation of S3D work packages, work instructions, and procedures to support work activities including; coordination, pre-planning, material staging, acquiring permits, and communication between affected organizations + Direct supervision and management of assigned Craft Professionals. + Support and communications with customers and stake holders + Support and communications with customers + Reviews work performed for obtainment of objectives, policy compliance and priorities, effective coordination, technical adequacy and responsiveness to established guidelines. + Integrates efficient supervision and project execution that follow company policies, client requirements, and governmental regulations. + Will be required to complete other assignments to support Construction, Maintenance, Start-up, Subcontracts, and Plant Operations departments as necessary to meet evolving WTP Project needs. + Perform work as a FWS as pertaining to LOTO activities. + Obtain and work to permits as required to perform assigned activities. + Review schedule activities for manpower, and resource loading. Provide craft recommendations for staffing needs. + Provide status, and updates to department project schedules + Monitors assignments to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule and budget and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations. + Able to act as the “Site Superintendent” during off shift hours. **REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS** **Education:** HS Diploma or GED and 8 years of supervisory experience in construction, service shops, maintenance, plant operations or work control is required. _OR_ Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical field and 6 years of supervisory experience in construction, service shops, maintenance, plant operations or work control is required. _OR_ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related technical field and 4 years of supervisory experience in construction, service shops, maintenance, plant operations or work control is required.​ **Experience:** **Supervisory experience** could include activities such as corrective or preventive maintenance, instrumentation calibration, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, materials acquisition, production processes, personnel supervision, HVAC, Electrical and engineering or knowledge of M&TE requirements. **Preferred Experience:** + Construction, supervision, maintenance, HVAC, electrical experience, project scheduling, supervisory experience in the DOD/ DOE / ISMS / VPP environment is preferred. + Outage coordination or execution preferred. + Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Instrumentation and Controls, Propane heating or system experience is preferred + Craft/Union employee supervision experience preferred **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity. **This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.** **Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship** **Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site** . **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS** HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,835.92 - $178,251.96 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
