As we continue to expand our footprint in the UK, we're seeking an experienced SaaS Business Development Manager to join our team and help accelerate sales and market penetration.
This position requires you to be based in the UK, with occasional travel expected to visit prospects, customers, and to attend regional events.
Job Description
You will play a key role in driving Campaigner’s sales growth across the UK market through both inbound leads and outbound lead generation activities. This position is ideal for someone with a proven track record in SaaS sales, strong business acumen, and the ability to identify and close new business opportunities. You will work closely with senior leadership to implement strategic sales initiatives, foster relationships with new clients, and expand Campaigner’s presence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth
Identify and generate new business opportunities within the UK market through research, prospecting, cold outreach, and networkingRespond to and work inbound leads that come in via our marketing activitiesQualify and engage potential leads to understand their business needs and introduce Campaigner’s suite of solutionsLead Generation & Qualification
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent progress through the sales funnelConduct initial product demonstrations and value-based consultations with prospects, showcasing how Campaigner’s platform solves their unique business challengesRelationship Building & Networking
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders in prospective client organizationsAttend relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent Campaigner and expand the sales networkSales Presentations & Negotiation
Lead sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations with prospective clients, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful outcomesClose deals effectively and efficiently, driving new customer acquisition and revenue growthCollaboration
Work collaboratively with marketing, account management, customer success, and sales colleagues to ensure high customer satisfactionProvide regular updates and reports on sales progress, opportunities, challenges, and market feedback to senior leadershipQualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in SaaS sales or business development, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving new businessDemonstrated experience in the UK market and understanding of local market dynamics in SaaS, marketing technology, or similar industriesStrong understanding of SaaS sales cycles, from lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closureExceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage a sales pipeline and leverage CRM tools to track and optimize sales effortsStrong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-centric approach to solution sellingSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExperience with email marketing or marketing automation platforms is a plusAbout Ziff Davis
